Reformed Studies - looked at the last lesson in this unit on Christ's last days of ministry L12 #1,2

Math - We have changed to a new textbook now: MathPower 8.  Homework is p. 5 1.1# 2,5,7,9,11,13,17,19,20,22,25,29,33,35,37,38

ELA - read chapter 3 of "I am David".  Students must complete their notes.  Vocab words from this chapter are brevity, dispassionately, undulating, voluntarily, conspicuous, lire, sinister, disconcerting, rubbish, oxford, situated, cypress, ensnare, treachery, hesitantly (for Fri Feb 5)

Science - started a new unit on Optics today.

Reformed Studies - L11 Jesus' Appearance Q1-3.  Students have been given the assignment for this unit which is due on Monday, Feb 1.  They will have 2 class periods (Tues/Wed) and the rest is homework.

Social Studies - watched the last video documentary on the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas.  Students must now prepare a study sheet for the test on Thursday, Jan 14.  Students must make a list of all the ancient civilizations we have studied in this unit and note at least 5 important

Permission slips went home today to go swimming at Portage Pool Monday morning January 18.  There is a cost of $5.00 per student.  Permission and money must be returned by Friday, January 15.

Reformed Studies - We started Unit 4: The End Period of Christ's Ministry Lesson 1 today.  Students must finish the questions 1-4, as well as think about what they learned about Self, Others and God's Plan of Salvation through Jesus in this lesson.

Math - p. 127-129 Test on Friday Lessons 58-63

ELA - editing character sketch from the story they read individually

Social Studies - finished looking at the early history of the Fertile Crescent of Mesopotamia region with lesson on Persia.  Students given a handout on researching what this area looks like today.
